About OIG

The Office of Inspector General (OIG) serves three separate cabinets: Energy and Environment, Labor and Public Protection. The OIG investigates allegations of misconduct and reports any findings to the appropriate reporting source. The office may make recommendations on the prevention and detection of wrongful acts and/or omissions in all three cabinets.  OIG ensures that the investigative process is conducted fully, fairly and impartially.  As independent fact finders, wrongdoing may or may not be found as the result of an investigation.
